The Ministry of Culture and Tourism sells the plain €30 entry online. It is the cheapest ticket and the source of truth for prices, but the interface is Turkish-first, time-slot availability is limited, there is no audio guide and no refunds. Good choice if you already know your day and just want the base ticket.

3. At the Tower (walk-up)

The ticket office is on the ground floor. Payment is in Turkish Lira (cash or card; Visa, Mastercard and contactless accepted; no foreign currency). No commitment, full flexibility — but in high season expect the queue described above. Museum Pass and Müzekart holders use this desk.

Through Tour Operators

TURSAB-licensed agencies such as Safaryar Holidays include Galata Tower in guided Beyoğlu walks and combination packages with transport and guide. The guided walk option above is the self-serve version of this.

Museum Pass Istanbul: Valid (Daytime)

Galata Tower is now operated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and is listed as a Müzekart / Museum Pass museum on the official muze.gov.tr system. If you already hold a valid Museum Pass Istanbul or Müzekart, you can use it for daytime entry — the same pass that covers Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia's museum sections and the Archaeological Museums.

One important exception: the pass does not cover the evening Night Museology (Gece Müzeciliği) session, which runs from 18:30 to 23:00. Pass holders who want to visit in the evening buy a separate ₺200 night ticket. To use your pass without an extra fee, arrive during regular daytime hours (before the 18:14 ticket-office cut-off).
